Beyonce headlines the first event put on by the charitable foundation founded by Gucci's creative director Frida Giannini, reports LondonTown.com

(TRAVPR.COM) UK - May 30th, 2013 - Presented by Chime for Change, a charitable foundation founded by Gucci's creative director Frida Giannini, Sound for Change takes place this weekend and invites the likes of Ellie Goulding, Rita Ora, Haim and Beyonce, who is on the founding committee and will headline the show, to perform. The foundation aims to raise funds and awareness for girls' and women's empowerment, and this London concert will bring the issues to centre stage.

Saturday also sees the return of Bushstock which, back on the London events calendar for the third year, showcases some of the best up-and-coming talent from Shepherd's Bush and beyond. Spreading across four venues, it's a chance to enjoy something less mainstream, somewhat folksy and a little bit raw.

Further options on Saturday include Canalival, London's version of tubing with east London's canals taken over by fancy-dressed revellers, circus performers, DJs and an array of floatable devices; No Dark Places, an eclectic one-day festival of intriguing live music, printing workshops, film screenings, comics fair and blind drawing; and Craft Beer Battle, another event from Street Feast London which invites guests to try a number of craft beers and vote for their favourite. Plus, the final instalment of Pop Up Ping Pong's events at a disused pub in Kensington and the Investec Derby at Epsom Downs Racecourse.

Sunday sees Dean Street closed off to traffic for the Soho Flea Market, where Caggie Dunlop and Oliver Proudlock of E4's Bafta-winning Made in Chelsea will be showcasing their goods alongside a number of other artisans, artists, fashion and jewellery designers and filmmakers.

Other highlights of the weekend include the Festival of Neighbourhood's launch of its outdoor landscape festival and Beanotown, which celebrates 75 years of Beano magazine, and the beginning of the London Festival of Architecture's month-long programme that explores how Londoners and visitors can become part of the fabric of the city.
