London's answer to Glastonbury is back for three days of unadulterated partying reports LondonTown.com
(TRAVPR.COM) UK - July 16th, 2013 - An impressive array of festivals grace London's parks throughout the summer but the Lovebox Weekender is the park party that comes closest to capturing the vibe of a proper festival, with a huge range of musical styles across multiple stages and a friendly, music-loving crowd. With plenty of space and a sympathetic council that doesn't mind late-night music, Victoria Park is the perfect venue for such an occasion. Festival-goers travelling from further afield can find a great selection of London hotels on LondonTown.com.
Running from Friday 19th July through to Sunday 21st, each of the festival days has its own musical identity. Friday sees Azealia Banks, Jurassic 5 and Rudimental headline while Saturday welcomes east Londoner Plan B, aka Ben Drew, and American R&B singer-songwriter D'Angelo, which will be a UK festival exclusive. Topping the bill on Sunday will be Goldfrapp, Hurts, Lil' Kim and Lianne La Havas.
In addition to the headliners, further highlights of the weekend include a number of established artists such as Wiley, Duke Dumont, Disclosure, Aluna George, John Newman and Ms Mr. Plus, away from the music, there's a wide range of entertainment. The Rebel Bingo team will be making an appearance on all three days, providing a risqué version of the granny's favourite pastime, and drag queen Jonny Woo presents his live show on Sunday.
