A raft of creatives celebrate Italian culture at this second month-long residency, reports LondonTown.com
(TRAVPR.COM) UK - October 21st, 2013 - Having initially enjoyed a month-long residency back in July, the House of Peroni re-launches at 41 Portland Place this November. Open from 6th to 30th November, the space has been designed by award-winning architect and co-designer of the Enzo Ferrari museum, Andrea Morgante and celebrates a new wave of contemporary Italian culture. Guests travelling to The House from outside of the capital can find a number of London hotels on LondonTown.com.
Visitors to the house, which is open daily, can expect experimental fashion installations by Italian designers Fabio Quaranta and Simone Rainer, and specially commission fashion, art and documentary shorts. There will also be daily events at including Master of Mixology classes with Gerry Calabrese, the leading mixologist guides guests through creating a range of timeless and contemporary cocktails; appearances by Street Feast, the pioneering London night market presents contemporary Italian street food; The Great Beauty Film Feast evenings, a screening of Paolo Sorrentino's hotly tipped Oscar nomination is accompanied by a specially designed eight course menu; and Italian Supper Club Saturdays, serving a four course feast designed to take diners on a journey through different Italian regions.
With a number of other enticing features, visitors don't need to have booked one of the events to enjoy The House. The Michelin-starred Costardi Brothers return to serve food in the kitchen, two bars offer a menu of infusions developed by Gerry Calabrese and a luxurious cinema screens a series of contemporary Italian films. Plus, each room will have its own soundtrack created by young Italian producers and DJs, and there will, of course, be plenty of Peroni Nastro Azzurro.
