First Chelsea ice rink gives visitors choice of festive outdoor ice skating rinks

(TRAVPR.COM) UK - November 12th, 2013 - For the first time ever, the Courtyard at Bluebird, the Chelsea restaurant just off the King’s Road, will host an ice skating rink. Open from Monday 11th November 2013 until Sunday 5th January 2014, the colourfully lit rink adds to the choice of festive ice skating venues in London this winter and for visitors coming to the capital looking for a hotel in London there’s a wide choice of accommodation to consider.

Popular ice rinks at London landmarks including Somerset House (opens Thursday 14th November 2013), the Natural History Museum (opened 31st October 2013) and the Tower of London (from 16th November 2013) return. Visitors can head to Hampton Court Palace (from 30th November 2013) to glide around on the ice in the shadow of the striking Tudor façade of Hampton Court Palace.

There are ice rinks at Canary Wharf (opened 31st October 2013) and at Broadgate in the City of London (from 4th November 2013) with the rink moving to a new location in Exchange Square, a few of minutes from Liverpool Street Station.

Indoor ice rinks at Westfield London and Alexandra Palace allow skaters to take to the ice whatever the weather. And at Westfield, one of London’s largest shopping malls, visitors can combine a turn on the ice with a spot of Christmas shopping and a visit to Santa’s grotto.

With the Christmas Market reappearing on the Southbank in late November and December, the London Eyeskate (opening on 27th November 2013 until 5 January 2014) adds to the wonderfully festive feeling in this part of London next to the Thames.

Don your skates and glide around the glittering ice rink set within Hyde Park Winter Wonderland which returns on 22nd November 2013. The organisers claims the Winter Wonderland Ice Rink is the UK's largest outdoor rink and at 1,600 metre square it might well be the case.
