¬¬¬An end-of-summer feast raises money for the Living Seas Project, reports LondonTown.com
(TRAVPR.COM) UK - September 2nd, 2013 - Summer is drawing to a close and autumn in London is fast approaching; however, there’s still time for one final BBQ. Teaming up with the London Wildlife Trust, the Bonnie Gull Seafood Shack is hosting a Summer BBQ on Friday 6th September at the Camley Street Natural Park, King’s Cross. The end-of-summer feast will be raising money for the Living Seas Project, the London Wildlife Trust’s vision of the future for UK seas, so Londoners can enjoy the evening of indulgence with the knowledge that it’s for a good cause. For visitors travelling from outside the capital, a great selection of cheap London hotels can be found on LondonTown.com.
Originally launched as a pop up seafood shack in Hackney, Bonnie Gull enjoyed great popularity and eventually became a fully-fledged Fitzrovia restaurant. At the permanent venue, head chef Luke Robinson and the team offer accessibility and affordability, as well as the promise of always using responsibly sourced British produce to make up the daily-changing menu. With Bonnie Gull renowned for these qualities, diners at the Summer BBQ can expect the highest quality seafood. Options include Scandinavian-style salmon fillets served with a shaved fennel and orange salad, Portland Pearl Oysters and Dorset Blue Oysters. Although, the highlight will, of course, be the BBQ station with Channel Squid and King scallop skewers with tomato and rocket salad; BBQ Whole Mackerel served with almonds, cucumber and Amalfi lemon; and Seabass stuffed with herbs, thyme and lemon oil. These are then followed by an array of tempting desserts. Guests will also be treated to live acoustic sounds from Double Bass Dan and Friends, who will play a mix of Doo Wop, Rock n Roll, Pop, Country, Ska and Soul.
Tickets are now on sale and cost £50 per person, with all profits going to the London Wildlife Trust.
